Parent teacher association

Northridge believes that the parents are the primary educators of their children in all areas of their development, and works with parents in the task of preparing each young man for responsible adulthood.

Although formation happens on a day-to-day basis, Northridge School Mexico offers continued education in collaboration with the parish of San Josemaría, which includes:

  • Conferences
  • Courses
  • Monthly retreats for moms
  • Monthly retreats for dads
  • Parent-School Committees
  • PTA (Parent-Teacher Association)
  • MEGs (Room Mothers)

By acting as a liaison, and when harmony exists between home and school, these activities help parents develop a deeper understanding of themselves, their sons and their responsibilities as primary educators.
Our mission is to engage parents in their children’s education by promoting a sense of community and welfare among its members.
Aside from having a husband and wife as PTA Presidents, every section of our school is represented by a different family, and every classroom is represented by at least two Room Mothers and their husbands (MEGs – Matrimonios Encargados de Grupo).
Our MEGs aim to help parents understand our educational model and philosophy, and to foster a climate of cooperation, understanding, trust and friendship among parents.

Moreover, PTA works alongside various committees, such as:

  • Social Work
  • Mi Súper Ayuda
  • Special Events

PTA works together with our Parents Enrichment Program, set up by Northridge, for the continuing education of all our families.
