One-on-one mentoring
Northridge School Mexico seeks to form boys of good moral standing. Northridge wants boys who want to be good, rather than to simply behave.
The strengthening of character – relevant for any individual and for society as a whole – encompasses every activity the boys are involved in by means of building personal strengths known as virtues.
Our deeply thought-out Mentoring program focuses mainly on:
- Strength of heart, interpersonal strengths and giving of oneself.
The takeaway: Boys are able to establish positive relationships.
- Strength of will, interpersonal strengths and the will to act.
The takeaway: Boys learn ways to reach their goals.
- Strength of mind, intellectual strength and the strength of thought.
The takeaway: Refection, admiration, creativity.
Upon the start of every school year, boys are assigned a mentor who will meet with them several times throughout the term.
Mentors help boys self-evaluate based on a very specific list of strengths and virtues, which in turn teaches them to focus on their own growth and areas of opportunity.
Furthermore, the whole program is guided by optimistic Christian values and seeks to motivate boys to strive to become better human beings by means of their faith, their strengths and the ability to positively work with those around them.
