Middle school

Our Middle School boys thrive in a kind, yet demanding environment which bolsters their journey into High School.

The competencies learned will allow them to reach their full potential and strengthen their character, all in accordance with the Catholic virtues taught by the spirituality of the Opus Dei.

Alongside making sure that all guidelines set by the Secretaría de Educación Pública are met, Northridge School Mexico works around the concept of deliberate practice to offer the following:

  • Linguistic abilities at the B2 level, both for English and Spanish (based on the Common European Framework of Reference), which will ensure boys are able to properly speak at optimal academic proficiency levels.
  • Logical-mathematical thinking, as well as the ability to solve problems by means of basic algorithms in arithmetic, statistics, algebra and geometry.
  • A thorough music program that will allow them to obtain the ABRSM 3 or Trinity 3 certification.
  • The acquisition of problem-solving skills by means of dynamic Visual Arts techniques.
  • Digital learning environments with a focus on the proper incorporation of technology into their educational programs.
  • The understanding that doing good carries rights and obligations, while recognizing cultural differences and proposing solutions for the world around them.
  • Planning skills that will allow them to come up with the evidence needed to support their research, based on adequate models for presenting results.
  • A well-thought out Physical Education program that promotes a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle, with the possibility of competing in local and interscholastic tournaments.
  • Faculty who are highly specialized and up to date in their field of expertise, with a focus on each boy’s academic needs.

Our school environment fosters cordiality among teachers, students, families and staff. Boys in every section of the school participate in various extracurricular activities with the goal of fostering friendship and kindness.

Moreover, our Middle School boys participate in off-campus activities and challenges, such as a class camp and the regional and national Math Olympics.
